Keep Calm and Trust
I have been learning that trusting the process feels a lot like calm.
Not because I know exactly how everything is going to happen.
Not because the circumstances around me always show me what I want to see.
But because I no longer need the visible world to constantly reassure me.
There comes a point when you have imagined the life you desire, accepted it within yourself, and there is nothing left to force.
You can simply trust.
I Don’t Need My Circumstances to Agree With Me
Sometimes what I see around me appears to place a limit on what I desire.
Maybe I want something that does not seem possible right now.
Maybe the money is not there yet.
Maybe the opportunity has not appeared.
Maybe I cannot see how everything will come together.
I used to think those circumstances meant I needed to do more.
Think more.
Affirm more.
Figure something out.
Now I see it differently.
A circumstance is simply what is visible right now.
It does not get to decide what is possible for me.
When the physical world tells me I cannot have something I desire, I do not have to accept that as the final word.
I can return within.
I can go back to my inner voice.
I Can Experience It Within First
This is where imagination becomes such a beautiful form of freedom.
If something I desire appears unavailable to me physically, I can experience the feeling of it within myself.
I can imagine the scene.
I can feel myself there.
I can experience the version of me for whom this desire is already natural.
And then I can leave it there.
I do not have to keep digging up the seed to see whether it is growing.
I do not have to spend every day trying to make something happen.
I can remember the experience as something that already belongs to me.
The seed has been planted.
Now it needs room to grow.
Trust Does Not Need Constant Reassurance
I think this is one of the greatest things I have learned about surrender.
Surrender is not giving up on what I desire.
It is giving up the need to control how it arrives.
There is a difference.
When my mind is clear and my heart is open, I can trust that what belongs to me will meet me at the right time.
I do not have to chase the evidence.
I can allow the evidence to find me.
And until it does, I am still allowed to enjoy my life.
I can cook dinner.
Take my walks.
Write.
Laugh.
Rest.
Enjoy what is already here.
My life does not have to become a waiting room for something I desire.
That, to me, is trust.
Let the Seed Grow
A seed does not become fruit the moment it enters the soil.
There is a process happening where the eye cannot see.
And perhaps our desires are sometimes the same.
We plant something within through a thought, an idea, an inner experience, or a moment of knowing.
Then there comes a time to stop interfering with it.
Let it grow.
Let life move.
Let yourself remain calm.
You do not need to know every detail between where you are and where you are going.
You can experience it within, release your grip on the outcome, and continue living.
Keep calm and trust.
The seed has already been planted.
When the fruit appears, you will be free to enjoy it.
