Faith and Imagination: Believe Beyond What You See

You know what I find fascinating about faith and imagination?

You can experience something within yourself long before you see it reflected in your physical world.

Think about that for a moment.

The life you desire, the woman you want to become, the experiences you want to have.

You can begin to experience all of these things in your imagination before you have any physical evidence that they are possible for you.

And yet, so many people dismiss their imagination as daydreaming.

Something to entertain themselves with when reality isn’t quite what they want it to be.

But what if your imagination is more than that?

What if it is where you first begin to experience the life you desire?

Your Inner World Comes First

Everything begins with an idea.

Before you can experience a different life in your physical world, you must first be able to conceive of that possibility.

You have to be able to imagine it.

Consider the woman you want to become.

Can you see her?

Can you imagine how she lives, how she carries herself, how she experiences her days?

Can you imagine what it feels like to be her?

You don’t need to have all the answers.

You don’t need to know how every detail will unfold.

You can simply allow yourself to experience that possibility within.

This is where faith and imagination meet.

Your imagination allows you to entertain a possibility beyond your present circumstances.

Faith allows you to believe in that possibility even when you cannot yet see it.

And when you understand this, you begin to see why what you believe matters so much.

Stop Allowing Your Circumstances to Decide for You

One thing I’ve come to recognize is how easily we allow what we see around us to determine what we believe is possible.

We look at our lives and decide what we can have based on what we already have.

We look at our circumstances and use them as evidence of what our future will look like.

But your present circumstances are not the only reality you can consider.

You can desire something you have never experienced.

You can envision a life that looks nothing like the one you are currently living.

You are not limited to imagining more of what you already know.

And you don’t have to abandon a vision simply because your circumstances haven’t caught up with it yet.

Faith means you can believe in what you cannot see.

You can hold a picture of the life you desire in your imagination without requiring your physical world to show you proof first.

That is the beauty of believing in the unseen.

What You Imagine Matters

Your imagination is personal.

Nobody else has access to the inner world you carry within yourself in quite the same way you do.

You can close your eyes and envision a life that belongs entirely to you.

You can imagine experiences you have never had, places you have never been, and possibilities you have never explored.

You can see yourself differently.

You can imagine a life beyond the expectations of others, beyond what you’ve always known, and beyond what your current circumstances suggest is available to you.

And you can choose to believe that such a life is possible.

For me, this is one of the most beautiful aspects of faith.

I don’t have to wait until something appears in front of me before I allow myself to believe in it.

I can imagine it. I can desire it. I can believe in it.

My life has shown me what becomes possible when I allow myself to believe beyond what I can presently see.

And that is why I return to this understanding again and again: faith makes all things possible.

Believe Beyond What You See

What is the life you desire?

Not the life you think you should want.

Not the life other people have decided is appropriate for you.

The life you genuinely want to experience.

Can you allow yourself to imagine it without immediately questioning how it could happen?

Can you hold that vision without using your present circumstances to dismiss it?

You don’t need to have every detail figured out or know the entire path ahead of you.

You can begin with what you believe is possible.

Your imagination gives you a place to explore that possibility.

Your faith allows you to believe in it beyond what is presently visible.

And perhaps the most important thing to remember is this: you do not have to see everything first.

Sometimes, you must be willing to believe beyond what you see.

Because faith makes all things possible, and your imagination allows you to explore possibilities you have yet to experience.
